This listing is for 1 hand forged iron ring with fine silver lining similar to those shown in the photos.
This ring is hand forged from a single piece of iron using traditional blacksmithing techniques of fire, hammer and anvil.
A fine silver lining has been mechanically set into the inside of the iron ring. There is no solder joint or acids employed.
The outside has been wire brushed, but hammer marks and some of the fire scale are left intact for texture.
REGARDING RUST, PLEASE READ:
Iron rings will rust when exposed to moisture, especially with salts and acids (citrus, vinegar). The rust is not permanent, it can be cleaned. The rust may stain your skin. If you're worried at all about rust, please do not purchase this ring.
That being said, my personal experience is that rusting is minimal. It's skin chemistry dependent. Natural skin oils generally protect iron jewelry from oxidation, any natural applied oils and hand lotions would also help. In the 10 years that I have worn an iron ring continuously (including showers, doing dishes), it has only rusted noticeably when swimming in ocean/sea water.
The fine silver lining eliminatse nearly all contact with skin, and greatly reduces chance of finger discoloration. However, the iron may still contact adjacent fingers, so there is still a risk of discoloration/rust.
Please indicate ring size and material desired. Band width can also be customized, please indicate in order notes. For reference, the wider band shown in the photo is 6-7mm, narrower is 4mm.
