These rings are not soldered or cast. This ring is hand forged from a single piece of sterling silver using traditional blacksmithing techniques of fire, hammer and anvil.
The surface is textured with different orientation of hammer marks, either a) Diagonally b) Vertically c) Randomly faceted. Please indicate preference when ordering.
A forged ring is unique when compared to one that has been cast or soldered. 1) This ring has no solder joint. 2) This ring is not "perfect". Small variations shape and thickness of cross section, as well as texture of hammer marks give it a rustic look. The inside of the ring has been sanded and polished to ensure a comfortable fit. The outside has been wire brushed to remove most, but not all, of the oxidation.
